Rose Water Distillation Pictures - As part of my current projects of teaching Medieval
distillation in the SCA, I have put together pictures of some my personal distillations.  These
are intended to clarify some of the Alchemical texts on this subject.



Medieval Period Distillation Equipment    
These photo pages  will provide you with photographic examples of my personal
equipment, collected from various craftsmen, some made specifically for distillation,
others of more common uses.

I have tried to include actual examples of the stills as working units doing actual
distillation.  What we commonly refer to as a "period" still is made from plain glass and is
not Pyrex or safety glass so therefore requires additional safety precautions, for your
personal welfare and anyone else in the area.
The 14th C glass still set up and in process.  Using a butane burner, using an electric hot
plate burner and using a clay brazer with charcoal.
