14th Century Re-enactor
I am Fiachra the Bonesetter, a 14th Century re-enactor, whose focus is distillation and
herbalism as practiced in the English Isles during the 1300's. My interests also include
monastic life, specifically the Knights Hospitaller and the Cistercians.
One of the international groups that I participate is the SCA. Within the SCA, I am The
Honorable Lord (THL) Fiachra Bonesetter, a companion of the Fleur d'AEthelmearc.
I am a resident of the Shire of Port Oasis, in the Sylvan Kingdom of AEthelmearc, which is
mundanely known as Huntington, West Virginia.
I am apprenticed to Mistress Anne Gray, OL, a Midrealm Laurel and am protege Master
Robert the Grey, OP, an AEthelmearc Pelican.
The household that I am a member of is known as Caer Cynin and contains members
from multiple different SCA kingdoms.
I teach formally at events, such as at Blackstone Raid, AEthelmearc AEcademy and
Pennsic as well as informally when requested. If you are interested in any of my research
please contact me to arrange classes or one on one discussions.
I have published various articles and given several Power Point presentations, some of
which you can find on this web site.
